As a brand, Lady Dye Yarns believes that crafting and activism have been integral parts of history. We are creating a safe space and conversation about social justice and political issues. We will have guest panelists for each month’s conversation. These panelists have expertise in the topic of focus. I am grateful to all of you as customers and as we prepare to shift our focus in some aspects of our brand, we will always be committed to craftivism and you.
I have thought about this a lot, and I really want to share some feelings I have been holding onto. It wasn’t until recently that I started talking about this. Many people in this crafting community made plenty of pink hats in 2016 and into 2017 for the Women’s March in Washington D.C. and other cities around the world without asking if this act of activism should be happening in our crafting community. It wasn’t until the conversation of 2019 and present times that the sentiment of leaving politics and social justice out of crafting came about. I want to keep the conversation going and I look forward to our continued monthly discussion to delve into these topics more.
We hope you sign up for these amazing Craftivist Craft Nights.
